Dr. Melissa Waldron is a graduate of Rutgers University School of Health Professions and specializes in pelvic floor and orthopedic physical therapy. She first became interested in pelvic health physical therapy from her experience as a personal trainer. She was exposed to women who dealt with urinary incontinence postpartum as well as women with endometriosis, and it directly affected the way they exercised and lived their lives. Dr. Melissa wishes to raise awareness and to help individuals who are silently suffering return to an active and healthy lifestyle with as little limitation as possible.

Dr. Melissa is passionate about providing individualized, one-on-one care while being mindful of how mental health and stress affect recovery. Her approach to treatment focuses on the patient as a whole in order to improve quality of life and promote overall well-being.

How I work

A handful of beliefs that shape every visit.

01

Treat the person, not just the diagnosis. Pain rarely has one cause, and even more rarely a single fix.

02

Hands-on work earns the right to ask for harder exercise. Manual therapy and active loading aren't either-or; they're sequenced.

03

Education is treatment. If you understand why something hurts and what changes it, you spend less of your life worrying about it.

04

Progress is measured in what you can do, not what shows up on a re-eval form.

Clinic or in-home

Two ways to work together.

Come to the clinic when you want a dedicated, private space. Or have me come to you, where so much of what gets you better actually happens: your kitchen counter, your driveway, the road you actually run.

The Red Bank clinic gives us a calm, private room with a full setup, ideal for pelvic floor work and focused hands-on sessions. Treating you in your own home, on the other hand, lets me see the things a clinic visit hides: the chair you sit in eight hours a day, the stairs that flare your knee, the dumbbells in your basement we can program against.

Either way, you get the same thing: the full hour of my attention, everything we need on hand, and a plan that fits your real life. No parking lot, no crowded waiting room, no being handed off to an aide.

What to expect

Your first visit, step by step.

A first session runs a full clinical hour. Here's how we use it.

  1. 01

    We talk before we touch.

A real conversation about your story. The injury, the workouts you used to do, the goals you actually care about, the things you've already tried. No rushed intake form.

  2. 02

    A movement and biomechanics assessment.

I look at how you move (squat, hinge, reach, walk, run if it's relevant) and where the system is breaking down. The diagnosis comes from what your body tells me, not from a referral form.

  3. 03

    Hands-on treatment, day one.

Manual therapy, dry needling when it's the right tool, and movement work calibrated to where you actually are. You leave the first session having done something, not just been evaluated.

  4. 04

A plan you can actually follow.

A clear sense of where we're going, what you'll do between visits, and how we'll know it's working. Programming gets sent to you in writing, with video where it helps.
